How was the 09 I did not think they were tasting that yet!
I think Brane is the best value bordeaux out there!
Wow,that looked like a lot of fun.
I can’t believe you already tasted the 2009. I am very excited for that vintage and going to hold off until then. However now you have me interested in the 08’s.
Brane has always been tremendous value Bordeaux. It is top quality in the $50 dollar range you can’t bat that!
I actually just ordered a case of the the Brane 08’s for $45. Tremendous price. After this review I am very excited!
This is awesome I want to tastes with you next time you are in Bordeaux!!
Great stuff, just ordered some Rauzan Segla. Looking forward to more….
This looks like so much fun!! I hope the second label is available.
It is available in 2006….for 08 you need to wait!
Chris how did the people in France treat you being a video wine blogger? I am not positive but I don’t think video wine blogging in France exists. Thanks.
They were actually great, they opened anything that I wanted to taste. They understand what is going on in the wine world. It was a great trip.
We are not that retarded in France or in Bordeaux for that matter, you know!
There are wine bloggers and video takers. It is just not as popular… It does exist!
Great shows from Bordeaux, I am learning a lot.
I have some of the 04 Brane I laid down it down, thinking about popping a bottle soon.
I was out at Brane in September and was blown away by the 2008. By all accounts, the 2009 is supposed to be even better, I can’t wait to try it in March.
Leo — I have to second what Chris said. While I don’t do video blogging, all of the Chateau I visited (including some of the first growths) were very open to answering my questions and making their winemakers, even though I am a lowly blogger
. That being said, Brane was, by far, the most receptive.
Futures are a good way to go with Brane, I picked up a case of 2008 from JJ Buckley for only $38 a bottle.
Wow, I have the ’05s laying on their sides…pysched to hear 08 and 09 were great. This was a tremendous buy for me for the ‘05 and are one of the best values in Bdx! Great call man! I may have to check them out in June! Did Margaux Chateau fare better than Pauillac, St. J/E in 08/09?
I really enjoyed that show, great job. Love Bordeaux
