I did think it had a lot of fruit forwardness but I think the monastrell added some more complexity and flavor profiles than the typical fruit bomb from Cali (which I also love)
Welcome to the cult of El Nido! The 2006 is killer, but if you can get your hands on a bottle of 2005 you’ll be extra happy. I seriously can’t get enough of this stuff. And El Nido’s”little brother” Clio is, as you say, fantastic as well and a great value.
GREAT show, keep it up!!
in the snow! nothing better then hanging out in the snow
This wine is awesome, I had the 2002 a few weeks ago, Clio is great as well.
Shocked you didn’t use the words fruit bomb to describe this wine. That’s all I could think about when I had it.

Enough said, going to buy some right now.
Love the fact that you tasted in the snow.
Great show and great wine but I have never seen this under $100.
I did not know Spain mad great Cabernet based wines. Very interesting.
Can we talk about the decanter? That is no joke.
Well Done Chris, another interesting show.
