I am heading to Rioja at end of August def going to check this place out, thanks for the tip.
Were these wines all from the same winery? They sound pretty new world overall. I’ve only had a couple Riojas and I think I really only liked the new world style. The old world one I remember was way acidic and had to be matched with food or it was just too sour for me at the time.
Yes these wines are more new world style. Give the old world style rioja’s another try. The good ones have a lot of complexity and a nice mix of fruit and earth.

I agree, both new world and old world riojas are tremendous. Just need to be selective.
